After much debate, we finally settled on the name Ian Quincy--yep, that's IQ for all you who notice initials. Ian is Scottish for John--so John got a namesake without having to name him John and Quincy is the name of the town in Illinois that unselfishly cared for the Mormons when they were driven from Missouri. He weighed in at 6 lbs, 3 oz. and was 17-1/2" long.
Brooklynn didn't really seem to care much about him at first but she is now coming around (more quickly than I anticipated) and likes giving him kisses and holding him (for about 30 seconds at a time).
We are so grateful that he made it safe and sound and are completely in love with him!

YEAH!!!! He is adorable - I can't believe his face...so cute. I'm so happy for you guys.
Emma has found a place on my lap looking at how cute he is. He keeps saying, "Oh, baby. Cute baby." He is a doll. I am glad he no longer has to go by "baby no-name." I like Ian Quincy, very cute.
Lubba!
